Description
Albrecht Dürer’s Adoration of the Trinity gathers angels and saints around the crucified Christ within an arched heavenly space. Richly dressed figures occupy the lower clouds, while brighter colors and radiating light draw attention upward. A small earthly landscape appears beneath the gathering.
Painted in 1511, the altarpiece organizes a large company through clear tiers and shared direction. Varied faces and garments remain distinct within the unified scene. Dürer balances precise detail with a strong central structure, making the act of worship visible across the whole composition.
