Back Translation: “Born in Casale sul Sile on January 9, 1950, he understood very early on that Venice was the city that suited him best: the city of atmospheric vibrations, of liquid and fleeting color. At the end of his studies at the art high school, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice where he began his artistic career, with masters who count among the most important contemporary Italian artists. After brilliantly graduating, he became a drawing and painting teacher.
After a few years of working in public school, he abandoned teaching in 1980 to devote himself to painting. During this period, his work as a watercolorist was intense. He organized personal exhibitions which were very successful and participated in collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
Venice and watercolor are therefore the common threads of Giovanni Bonazzon’s work.
