Description
Manfred Schatz’s Out of the Marshgrass captures mallards rising from dense reeds beneath a pale, cloud-filled sky. Sweeping wings and angled stems carry the eye upward and to the right, while the dark green foreground gives the birds a strong sense of lift. The softly blended grays, muted greens and warm plumage create an atmospheric wildlife scene with movement at its center.
This limited-edition print bears a pencil signature in the lower-right margin and is numbered 463/750 at the lower left. Schatz’s wildlife imagery is particularly effective here in the contrast between the sharply recognizable ducks and the loosely suggested marsh. A broad, textured light-colored mat, dark inner border and brown-and-gold-tone frame complement the natural palette.
Overall framed dimensions are approximately 29 inches high by 36½ inches wide. Light frame wear and creasing, scuffs and small punctures in the backing paper are visible. The reverse retains labels and a hanging wire; please review the photographs for condition.
