Description
Burning Weeds brings three rural figures together in a field marked by smoke, rough soil and bare trees. A worker leans heavily over a spade in the foreground, while a resting man and a distant standing figure create a measured rhythm across the scene.
Vincent van Gogh’s forceful lines give ordinary fieldwork a tangible weight. Dense hatching models the figures and clods of earth, while the open sky and drifting smoke soften the horizon and lend the scene a thoughtful stillness.
