Description
JoAnn George “Southeast Village” hand Signed AP Lithograph Tlingit Alaska 1986 limited-edition artist’s-proof, depicting a coastal Tlingit village in Southeast Alaska. The detailed monochromatic composition features traditional carved totem poles, village buildings, figures, a rocky shoreline, and the dense evergreen forest characteristic of the region.
The work is titled in pencil at lower left, marked “AP 50/75” near the center, and pencil-signed “JoAnn George” at lower right. The printed image is additionally copyrighted and dated 1986 within the plate.
George’s artwork reflects her life in Angoon, Alaska, where she lived beginning in 1967. Her drawings, paintings, etchings, collages, and reproductions frequently portray Tlingit culture, legends, wildlife, and the landscape of Southeast Alaska.

Good vintage condition with scattered light foxing and age-related spotting visible in the margins, particularly around the signature and edition areas. The artwork remains visually strong. The mat and frame show minor wear consistent with age. Not examined outside the frame. Please review all photographs carefully.
