Description
Pablo Picasso’s Houses at Horta gathers a hillside village into a rising cluster of ocher walls and angled roofs. The buildings overlap as broad geometric blocks, with dark openings providing small points of contrast. Gray-green planes around them connect the town to the surrounding terrain and sky.
Picasso treats architecture as a way to explore how space can be assembled. Roofs and walls appear from different angles, yet repeated shapes give the view a strong coherence. The village feels substantial and compressed, its familiar buildings transformed into a rhythm of light, shadow, and intersecting surfaces.
