Stevengraphs are distinctive, detailed pictures woven from silk on Jacquard looms, pioneered by Thomas Stevens in Coventry, England, starting around 1862, depicting Victorian life, royalty, events, and scenes, becoming popular collectibles that are still sought after today, especially for their historical snapshot and craftsmanship. These unique textile artworks, originally bookmarks, expanded to include portraits, scenes, and postcards, using multiple silk colors on a single weave, a novelty at the time, with many surviving examples offering insights into late 19th-century culture.
