Description
Christ Healing the Blind places a moment of healing within a sunlit city square. Figures gather on either side of the central avenue, their gestures and brightly colored robes leading the eye toward the meeting of Christ and the kneeling man.
Attributed in the collection to El Greco, the scene balances human drama with a long view of arches, columns and receding pavement. Clear blue sky and shifting passages of pink, gold and green give the crowded composition an expansive sense of space.
