Description
A Moor Caught by the Bull by Francisco de Goya turns a bullring encounter into a scene of sudden danger. The central figure and animal dominate the pale arena, while dark lines sharpen the sense of movement and struggle.
The spare setting gives every gesture weight. Goya sets the bull’s bulk against the vulnerable human figure, using the contrast between open ground and concentrated marks to draw the eye toward their confrontation.
