Description

The Dancing Class by Edgar Degas draws us into a rehearsal room where practice, music, and waiting unfold together. A dancer in a pale skirt stands near the center, her pink slippers catching the light, while other figures gather beside a musician or stretch at the far side of the room.

A tall mirror multiplies the dancers and opens another view into the crowded interior. Warm brown walls and the broad, quiet floor set off the delicate whites of the costumes.
